Welcome to the Bling of Spring 2010 webpage! In May, a group of us Yankees wandered down and met up with our Southern Brethren on a camping trip in the Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina. We were centered in the Linville Falls area, right next to the Blue Ridge Parkway, which allowed us to cover a variety of unique watersheds in our quest to observe fishes, while enjoying the spring blossoms and scenic beauty along the way. It also allowed for us to slip in to Asheville twice for gourmet dinning, although with some of the BBQ we wrangled in our travels, that certainly wasn't necessary. Heck, at one stop, we had BBQ 101 with every type of sauce you can think of (well, besides that watery hot stuff Texans call sauce ;)
So I hope you'll enjoy the photos I've put together. I've assembled them in galleries by site with some additional stories, and at some point, video from the aquatic sites.
